The Milstein Program creates a small cohort of extraordinary first year undergraduates each year who are excited by interdisciplinary thinking, dynamic collaboration, and emergent technology. The Program offers a supportive community of engaged learners, speaker series along with core courses, unique skill sessions, mentorship, career development, and funded research opportunities, including an 8 week immersive experience at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island.
The Milstein Program is an undergraduate enrichment program in the College of Arts & Sciences. Students in the Milstein Program select a major among those offered by the College of Arts and Sciences and have access to a specialized curriculum on the intersection of technology and the humanities, access to speakers, mentors and research opportunities.
The interdisciplinary learning experience of the Milstein Program helps students become innovative leaders across a broad spectrum of fields—leaders who are both tech-savvy and steeped in humanistic values. The Milstein Program builds upon the College of Arts & Sciences' long tradition of encouraging students to pursue the disciplines they love most—even if they might initially seem to be worlds apart.

The MStudio speaker series brings world-class scholars, artists, or industry experts to Cornell for the benefit of the entire campus community. Students in the Milstein Program will have access to special lunches or workshops with these guests and others.
Milstein Program Skill Sessions are hands-on sessions offered each year designed to encourage students to step outside their comfort zones and try something new, and to have fun and bond with their Milstein peers while participating. Examples of past Skill Sessions include figure drawing, cooking, audio production, and public speaking.
Milstein Program scholars enroll in specialized courses during their time at Cornell including a First-Year Advising Seminar, a First-Year Project, and the MStudio speaker series, allowing for cohort-bonding, faculty and graduate student mentorship, and opportunities to engage in advanced research at the intersection of technology and the humanities. Students are also encouraged to select courses from a curated list of electives that study the social, cultural, economic, environmental, physical and psychological impact of technology.
